Nino is a 26-year-old chef based in Brussels, with a background in graphic design that informs his creative and intuitive approach to food. His passion for cooking began in his childhood home, a place constantly filled with friends and family, where his grandparents would always set an extra plate at the table “just in case.” This sense of generosity, hospitality, and care for others continues to shape the way he cooks today.
Largely self-taught, Nino developed his skills through a deep interest in classical French cuisine, which remains a strong foundation in his work. At the same time, he is endlessly curious about traditional dishes and techniques from around the world, believing that every culture holds something worth exploring through food. As he continues to find his own voice as a cook, he focuses on seasonality and sustainability, always guided by one essential principle: flavor comes first.
For Nino, cooking goes far beyond what’s on the plate, it’s about creating moments of connection. He sees gathering around food as one of the most natural and meaningful ways people come together, and values the time and care invested in preparing and sharing a meal. Through his work, he aims to translate this philosophy into simple, honest dishes that celebrate ingredients at their best while delivering comfort, pleasure, and a sense of togetherness.
Whether cooking outdoors, working with peak-season produce, or incorporating preserved elements from past harvests, Nino strives to create food that feels both grounded and expressive. And in his eyes, no meal is ever complete without good bread and butter on the table.
