Meet Julia E. Dyck, a Canadian artist and hypnotherapist based in Brussels whose practice moves between sound, performance, and the subconscious. She creates immersive group experiences, hypnotic installations, and participatory works using voice, vibration, and guided imagination—reaching states that more conventional formats can't. Julia is a member of Audio Placebo Plaza collective and the t.r.a.n.c.e community hypnosis project, with work presented at Haus der Kulturen der Welt, Bétonsalon, Café OTO, Q-O2, and the Karachi Biennale, among others.

For Platine, Julia leads Trance as Technique, a workshop treating hypnosis as both an artistic and somatic practice. Through guided visualization, breath work, subtle movement, and vocal practice, participants are invited into altered states of perception where imagination and sensation intertwine. The goal is to build a shared, collective space—practicing listening to ourselves and each other—as a way of reaching states of awareness and creativity that usually stay just out of reach.
